Survival Preparedness
Preparing to survive anything can seem like an impossible
task, for the unprepared. A big part
survival preparedness is understanding how to make use of all the things around
you. A survival kit or pack is a very good start for being ready for anything,
but it’s only as good as the knowledge you have to go with it. Understanding
the type of area that you are in could mean the difference between life and
death. Your pack needs to fit the area that is all around you, if you’re in the
desert your survival kit needs to be a desert kit. Of course all survival packs
will have the same basic items for survival, fire starters, emergency blanket, and
a signal mirror. Those are just a few things that should be in all survival
packs. Understanding your body is also very important, knowing how long you can
survive without water and food; if you need medication all ways have an
emergency supply. These are the things that can mean life or death if not
properly prepared, consider anything prepare for everything.

Different Types of Preparedness
Depending on your location you need to be prepared for
different situations. If you have to make a long drive through the mountains
for work every day then your car should be set up with supplies for cold
weather and a emergency kit for example. The point of this is to show how
different the supplies can be depending on location. Preparedness can save
lives, and it pays to be prepared for anything.
This video is a good example of different types of
preparedness. Where you live matters, so plan for the worst and expect the
best. Preparing for disasters is a key part of preparedness because that is
what will affect you most, so never stop preparing for the worst.
